After 16 years of successful leadership as Managing Director of The Powder Company, Alexander Zurkinden (62) has decided to hand over the management of The Powder Company to new leadership. Alexander Zurkinden will be available to support the transition over the coming months and will remain actively involved with the company in the future as a member of the Board of Directors.
On May 1 2026, Ivar Jeker (48) will assume the role of Managing Director of The Powder Company. Ivar Jeker studied Business Administration at the University of St. Gallen and brings 20 years of experience in trade/sales, finance, and corporate management within the consumer goods and services industry. His professional career has taken him to, among others, the Austrian crystal company Swarovski and the Swiss home textiles company Schlossberg. We wish Ivar Jeker a successful start in his new role and every success and fulfilment in driving the company forward.
The Powder Company is an internationally active company specialising in the development and production of solid cosmetic products (powders from head to toe, bath salts in loose and pressed form, various specialty products, etc.), with its production site in Einsiedeln, Switzerland. The Powder Company employs around 60 staff and serves customers predominantly across Europe, including Germany, Switzerland, Scandinavia, the Netherlands, and various Eastern European countries.
